just when we thought he couldn't get any worse he shocks us.He's turning the clock back 50 years and more.Surely he cant win the election?

It seems to me that we are so used to him acting a fool/tyrant/pervert that we have become habituated to it. Not much he does can suprise us any more.

I'm no political expert but I still find it surreal that such a man can be president of one of the most powerful nations in the world. His insensitive, bullish reaction and the aggressive and inflammatory language used by him in response to this latest manifestation of deep seated and established racism in 'his' nation highlight his total lack of empathy and compassion towards the anger, pain and anguish of all those in America and across the world who have seen that horrifying video clip and been shocked and repelled by it.

I just thought it was further proof that he has completely lost the plot.

I couldn’t find another thread about Trump and his church outings. I was a bit shocked to think that nobody was talking about it!

I looked too and didn't see one. I’m appalled at the way he is fanning the flames of aggression instead of trying to damp things down. I read an article by Obama on the subject- what a comtrast! Literate, sensitive and with good suggestions about reconciliation and Listening to the demonstrators’ concerns.

Yet there are so many Americans who think like he does.

He’s tweeted this trying to spin it. Idiots will think he’s managed the situation well - note the self congratulations ?

As for the posing with the bible, I think he orchestrated that with a view to his forthcoming election. He’s hoping to rally his deluded evangelical followers in the Bible Belt states of the U.S who can see no wrong in him.

The terrifying thing is there may be enough of them to vote him in again.

Trump is completely out of his depth now, as always he will not listen to advice. These bullying tactics are a sign of his lack of intelligence and power hunger.

The focus of the two threads is slightly different so I think this one about Trump's reaction to events is perfectly valid in its own right.
