The Decade they said
'when taste went out the window'!
Dancing at the local Disco on a Saturday night is one of my memories.
What's yours?
Its A to Z. So...

Crimplene short dress and pushing a pram. With three bottles of Hungarian wine, bought at the NAAFI, hidden around the baby. The wine cost five shillings and nine pence a bottle. I had never heard of Social Services in those days. Just as well. That baby is now 44 years old. Tempus fugit. iPad doesn't like Latin. You could start another thread with all the alternatives it came up with.

There was a sugar shortage in about 1974 through panic buying. The local shop where we were living kept it back for favoured friends. My mother sent a bag of sugar through the post. There was also a shortage of potatoes, probably through disease. The children had to go without their Saturday night fish and chips which they ate while watchingDr Who. The eldest behind the sofa!
