Anyone ready to start knitting royal baby jackets?

Bridgeit Mon 15-Oct-18 09:00:21

They wouldn’t like anything I knitted! Best wishes to them , I hope they don’t get too hounded by the press & the anti-royals

BlueBelle Mon 15-Oct-18 09:01:45

Good for them she’s not young so they needed to start soon
Good luck to them

Auntieflo Mon 15-Oct-18 09:02:03

Poor things. Is nothing sacred.
Well I suppose not, if you are in the public eye.
I wish them well.

NanaandGrampy Mon 15-Oct-18 09:09:45

That's lovely news - a first baby for a young couple. I wish them every happiness !

merlotgran Mon 15-Oct-18 09:21:37

Lovely news. Really pleased for them.

POGS Mon 15-Oct-18 09:59:27

I bet they are chuffed to pieces and the signs are they will be loving parents.

Good news .

Bridgeit - my baby knitting is very funky! grin

Willow500 Mon 15-Oct-18 10:02:41

Sure they're thrilled - it's lovely news - lets hope she doesn't suffer the same crippling morning sickness Kate had especially as they've just landed in Oz. I can't imagine how the press were associating the two folders she was carrying with announcing the pregnancy though - unless they saw it contained the knitting patterns grin

Her maternity notes, of course. NHS advice is to "carry them with you at all times"

sarahcyn Mon 15-Oct-18 11:41:47

I just hope they don't slavishly follow the tradition by getting signed up at the Lindo Wing. Apologies to anyone here who may work there, but the feedback I get from clients (I'm an antenatal teacher) is that it's badly run, presumably too complacent about its Royal connection. One of my clients is taking legal action against them for the terrible service and dodgy advice they received.

When is baby due winkwink

I'm going to be soo bored hearing about this for the next 5-6 mths.
It's a delightful event for the happy couple and I wish them well but it's their concern, not mine.

Urmstongran Mon 15-Oct-18 11:46:55

Spring 2019. Perhaps they’ll call the baby Brexita. Or Brexitus.

Katekeeprunning Mon 15-Oct-18 12:04:25

I'm delighted for them

Willow10 Mon 15-Oct-18 12:10:26

It's lovely news, I'm very pleased for them. What I'm not looking forward to is all the rubbish, guessing, speculation and and 'advice' that will be spouted on tv by so-called experts for the next 6 months. I wish they would just leave them alone to get on with it!

mabon1 Mon 15-Oct-18 12:18:13

Leave the couple alone to enjoy this precious time together.

evianers Mon 15-Oct-18 12:21:50

Willow10
They have got on with it!!!

Willow10 Mon 15-Oct-18 12:37:09

Evianers grin.

Half listening to morning TV, I heard a conversation around how “everybody would be desperate to see the baby bump ASAP”
What? Who?
I glanced at my husband who rolled his eyes and said “by everybody, they mean everyone who works in the media. Who else wants to see a baby bump belonging to someone they have never met?”
I’m wondering if they’re expecting an unusual bump of some kind?

Aepgirl Mon 15-Oct-18 13:13:12

Great news for them.

lemongrove Mon 15-Oct-18 13:16:26

An unusual bump? grin twins?

Ladyinspain Mon 15-Oct-18 13:22:07

I hope she phoned her Dad and told him, before he heard it through the media -I know he has his faults, but by all accounts, she hasn't spoken to him since he had a heart attack and couldn't attend the wedding-and yes, it was documented that he was indeed in hospital. She will only ever have one Dad, and she will lose him one day.

Willow10 Mon 15-Oct-18 13:25:39

Something else for her half sister to be spiteful about.

Anniebach Mon 15-Oct-18 13:39:40

We don’t know if the sister is spiteful or hitting out because she is hurt.

123kitty Mon 15-Oct-18 13:46:39

Some people kindly try to see the good side of everybody anniebach. Me, I'm withwillow10 on this one.
