Does your star sign say anything about you?
I am a goat, Capricorn, an earth sign and very true to most of that sign's traits.
I don't read horoscopes as they can mean many things to millions of people but the core traits are ones I can identify with.
Funnily, all my children are earth signs too.

Anniebach

Never read horoscopes, I am Cancer and am suppose to be ruled by the moon and the tides ! May explain my need to be at the coast ?

Me too Anniebach. I’ve always lived near water and I love watching the night sky, but I don’t believe in astrology or horoscopes!

Can anybody guess what zodiac sign does India's prime minister has? Well, it's Scorpio.

In many ways I think horoscopes are a bit like any other kind of fortune-telling in that if you allow yourself to be influenced by what you are told, the prophecy may well be fulfilled.

Personally, I feel if we were supposed to know what the future will bring, there would have been a surer method of doing so.

A scorpion has a sting in the tail. I know I don't believe in the mumbo jumbo, but I do have a reputation for sarcasm - not so much now as I once had.

Aquarian here, and yes i am a lot like what the sign says i am, humanitarian, bit of a hippi or was, still dont conform, and can be a bit airy fairy, about things
I dont particularly believe in horoscopes, but i believe in the Tarot, always seemed so true for me
Also attracted to water,i have lived by the sea most of my life, but was born in a city, and lived in an industrial own until i was 24

I have the distinction of being the only one represented by an inanimate object. I am a pair of scales.

Sorry...Leon not Leo

GabriellaG54 Sun 28-Apr-19 09:31:38

Many decades ago I used to read Leo Petulengro's column and that written by Jonathan Cainer but realised that they were generalisations.
You could make it fit anyone.
I see that Capricorn is depicted as a goat with a fish tail which means that I'm a fishy old goat. Cool eh...? grin

ps that was in answer to annodomini, the ^^ did not work.

my youngest DC is not a Scorpio btw.

Callistemon Sat 27-Apr-19 18:17:11

^ I admitted to Scorpio and one of them said. 'Oh all the nastiest people are Scorpios'. Then, as an afterthought, 'but not you, Miss.'^
Scorpions are supposed to 'have a sting in their tail'!

My youngest DC is very typical of what her star sign is supposed to be - and nothing like the rest of us.

I was told once that one's star date should actually be linked to date of conception, not date of birth.

Which would answer your question Gabriella

A long time ago I read a book called Supernature by Lyell Watson. He looked in detail at a lot of things like this, because some occupations do predominate over long periods of time in some star signs and was looking at physical phenomena: how very small changes in the pull of the moon on tides can make, and so one. Unfortunately in his second book he fell hook line and sinker for a whole lot of dodgy phenomena and non-rational explanations that rather cast a cloud over the first one, but I still think his first book is both good and rational.

I should get a chart done .. smile

It's curious to think one " was destined " for something other than " what happened instead " - Not saying curious to think of it in a bad way - Just that things are the way they are -

GabriellaG54 Fri 26-Apr-19 19:44:22

I wonder what star signs premature or induced babies would be deemed as.
Their original due date or the 'contrived' one.

annodomini Fri 26-Apr-19 16:10:38

Once, when I was 'teaching' a class of day-release would-be nannies, they asked me about my star sign. I admitted to Scorpio and one of them said. 'Oh all the nastiest people are Scorpios'. Then, as an afterthought, 'but not you, Miss.'

My Chinese sign is the Dragon, the most powerful of all signs. I have a tiny green jade dragon, bought in the Hong Kong jade market.

MawBroonsback Fri 26-Apr-19 15:03:02

Equally

EllanVannin Fri 26-Apr-19 14:22:28

I suppose a bit of my star sign pertains to me as a Libran.

HootyMcOwlface Fri 26-Apr-19 14:20:26

In the Chinese one I am delighted to report I am a pig! As will be evidenced by my post on the chocolate thread. Oink oink ?

rosecarmel Fri 26-Apr-19 14:14:20

Taurus? [Grin]

MawBroonsback Fri 26-Apr-19 14:03:53

Way off the mark
