seacliff
That's not true Josianne, certainly not in this area. Depends on the cat, and dog, we often re-home with dogs in the family.
Micro chipping is good to identify lost cats that suddenly appear in a new area. They might have got in a delivery van, then jumped out miles from their home. Also sadly for deceased cats, at least their owners know.
We rehome too in the family seacliff but due to lockdowns when everyone wanted a pet, the cat's' rescues changed their policy and you couldn't even get past the email stage if you had a dog. Very daft!
The only real option was to rescue a street cat from Dubai and to fly it in to Heathrow etc. All very organised and caring of the cat's welfare. Said kitten has spent the last year terrorising the household and definitely has the upper hand!
