Upset and angry for daughters (update)

My daughters have found out where their gran is and I am taking them to visit her this weekend. After visit to CAB, many emails/phone calls back and forth to SS, County Council, MP and various other bodies she was finally put in touch with Continuing Health Care who said gran is fine, a very feisty, sometimes difficult lady. They gave her name and contact details of home she is now resident in. To say daughters are ecstatic and relieved is an understatement. Thank you all for your help and suggestions, this will be a Happy Christmas for my daughters (and myself) after all xx

I have spoken to both daughters this evening. dd2 has spoken to manager of the home at length today, been given phone numbers for suite her gran is on including the number for the mobile phone which can be taken to individual residents. Both girls are so pleased with the outcome and looking forward to the visit at the weekend. Thank you again and Merry Christmas to all x

I've just read your other thread. So pleased and relieved that everyone is back in touch again. What a terrible worry for all concerned.

We visited yesterday, the home is lovely with a happy feel to it, overlooking the sea, the staff all seem really friendly and helpful. Gran was so pleased and relieved to see us. There were moments when she was a little confused as to where she was, understandable under the circumstances. Daughter's are happy that they've seen her and know she's OK and have told her they'll ring her later this week and visit again as soon as they can.

That's a lovely outcome, and especially at this time of year.

What a lovely outcome! Such a relief for everyone smile

Has Grandma said anything about her son, as I believe he didn't want to visit her any more?
If so that must have been hard on her.

Happy 2019 to you all.

Namsnanny Gran asked about him when we went to visit her before Christmas and said she doesn't know what she has done.... my daughters reassured her that she has done nothing wrong but that they would tell him that she would like to see him, as yet he has made no attempt even though they have both told him. My youngest daughter went to visit her again yesterday......she again asked about him, daughter said it was heartbreaking seeing her get upset because he hasn't been or even made contact, she really believes that she has said or done something wrong but can't remember what.
