Reading the article ,as to the alternative young/old , I myself a few years younger than what I am now.
I arranged through emails , to meet the person in a nearby town.
We had coffee and cake ,and we then went back to her car , we kissed , which she enjoyed .
Nearly went into the next phase with her , as her company was nice.
Would meet her again if she was again in the UK.
Mick

Sparklefizz Mon 04-Feb-19 09:20:16

What would be the next phase...sandwiches?

PECS Mon 04-Feb-19 09:29:36

Didn't we have numbers when at school 1- 10 before getting to base.? This sounds much better as you seem to get food too. No fumbly youth ever offered me tea and cake!

Thank you for sharing Michael ( aged 12?) .

Trouble is at our age we need far more explicit details than a kiss in the car ……….. ;-)

Waiting with bated breath...…...

I think you will find this was posted by our friend Mick from the Good Morning thread. Unless someone is using his log in.
Slightly odd but genuine I think.

Blimey, what's happened to Good Morning Monday? Maybe the cold has got into Mick's head and made him go a bit funny?

Cherrytree59 Mon 04-Feb-19 10:11:26

Hope not causing any upset but same name as 12Micheal
Good morning thread
Signs himself as Mick.confused

BlueBelle Mon 04-Feb-19 10:24:38

Has someone hacked your account This is a very very strange thread to start
What’s the question, what’s the point?

DoraMarr Mon 04-Feb-19 10:31:51

I think there was a thread about a woman dating a younger man, and Micheal is referring to it. A nice memory, Mick?

BlueBelle Mon 04-Feb-19 10:47:52

But Dora, Mick or Micks doppelgänger has made no mention to ages in his post only in the title
I now want to know how he knows she enjoyed the kiss ??? And why didn’t it go to the next phase ???
And where did she come from ? Russia Thailand ???
And how much older ??? A week a year a decade

Lily65 Mon 04-Feb-19 11:34:32

My advice would be see how it goes and if you get fed up buy a horse.

MissAdventure Mon 04-Feb-19 11:45:02

Mick has posted before about wanting to find a partner.
I'm sure he has more interests than the 'good morning' thread.
Good on you, Mick!

I was in my 60`s around 61-62 , when some while ago, at a social in Northampton, got introduced to this person who was around 70ish I think .
We eventually exchanged emails , I travelled to Northampton and met her , had a coffee, snogged in her car, and could have gone further, I still think of the meeting.
By the way it was on a former social network run by SAGA , which ceased because of intruders and bad language.
I used to get meets organised so you got to know who fitted a username then you introduced yourself in your own proper name.
She had been invited by this bloke to the do, and I got chatting to her , and got her email and then phone number etc

No second meet for another snog ?

Cherrytree59 Mon 04-Feb-19 14:08:51

So did you not keep in touch with her Mick even as friend or penfriend?
You say 'if she was again in the U.K'.
Does she live abroad?

Sorry so many questionsblush
but if you dipped your toe in the water on once what about trying another mature dating site.
Some ladies of certain age would be happy with like minded conversation, day trips that I know you enjoy Mick or a nice coffee/ lunch out.

However if I was single I don't think I would be looking for a quick or long for that matter snog in the back of my carhmm.

Lily65 Mon 04-Feb-19 14:20:55

Mick , nobody wants an unwanted intruder. Best to stick to nice lunches.

gillybob Mon 04-Feb-19 14:38:28

Isn’t snogging what teenagers used to do, back in the day? My 13 year old DGD would burst into hysterics if I said that me and grandad had “enjoyed a snog” Maybe the letters were mixed up and they actually enjoyed a “song” in the car . Makes sense to me . smile

gillybob Mon 04-Feb-19 14:39:41

Oh dear sorry just realised this was “canny Mick” from Good Morning . blush

Abuelamia Mon 04-Feb-19 14:45:21

Mick, so you were in your 60s and she was 70ish you think . She must have felt so lucky and grateful that such a young fellow had time for her.

Sorry, but I hope I am never in the situation wherby a man thinks he may be doing me a favour because he is slightly younger.

Alima Mon 04-Feb-19 15:03:26

Wish I hadn’t read this thread. Ugh.

Pythagorus Mon 04-Feb-19 16:31:01

This post doesn’t make sense .....
I gather it is about mature dating ..... which is all the rage on tinternet!
When I moved on retirement, a friend persuaded me to join a dating site to meet someone new ...
I was inundated with messages from men aged 20- 84! I was 60 at the time. I had to amend my profile to say, I was looking for men aged 58-63 ...... I added it was flattering to hear from younger men, but I was not looking to adopt ...... neither did I want the position of a carer to a much older man! After a few weeks I gave up and got a dog as a companion! Best decision ever!
