Well, not the bit about prayer.

A little evangelicism going on here, methinks?

Bags Sun 17-Jun-12 19:13:19

More of the same on the thread "Under the waves " or something like that.

I've got a book on the Uses of Vinegar. It is very useful stuff.
I don't think you should drink too much though. It could burn your throat and cause a lot of harm.

The info about camels' milk is a bit lost on me as they don't sell it round here. Thank you for the info though. smile

I can't really help you on the rest of your post. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on the subject will be along soon. smile

Reminds me of a programme I used to find some nights on my little tranny back in the 50s and 60s called 'Search the Scriptures' - about how it's all there in the Old Testament and the Book of Revelation. Very entertaining.

Saves me having to look for a joke for today.

AlieOxon Sun 17-Jun-12 20:15:41

What have you got to say on the 'Knickers' thread, then?

Just thinking what a remarkably eclectic selection of threads we have tonight - and most nights: from knickers to the Q'ran.

Albeit I'm now a Humanist, even when I was a member of the Church of Scotland I never believed in the literal truth of the Bible.

AlieOxon Sun 17-Jun-12 20:43:38

My parents had a book - 'The Bible as History' - now that was much more interesting.

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 20:55:38

I've still got it! A fascinating book! It was got me hooked on archaeology, and why I am dragging maniac kicking and screaming to the Holy Land in septembergrin

Annobel Sun 17-Jun-12 20:57:23

My aunt had that book and I read some of it when I was visiting her. Of course there is a good historical basis to OT stories, though not Adam and Eve...and the serpent.

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 21:01:09

I am disappointed I can't see the tunnel of Hezekiah!sad

AlieOxon Sun 17-Jun-12 21:18:10

Pity the original poster won't know the parable of the scattering of the seed...definitely rocky ground here....

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 21:34:03

grin will be interesting to see if GNHQ delete this or not?

Anagram Sun 17-Jun-12 21:39:25

Well, the original message has been deleted.

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 21:43:53

j04 Sun 17-Jun-12 22:39:55

Where has the thread about waves under the sea gone? Have they deleted it?

Why? confused
