A friend from our village has been nominated to receive the Royal Maundy today at Oxford. She is a lovely lady who does much for the village church and the community - what a wonderful experience for her.

And I believe Pope Francis is conducting the feet washing ceremony in an Italian prison - the lowest of the low indeed.

Maundy Thursday , I , DH and a couple of friends are out for a curry this lunchtime ,
It started quite a lot of years ago, when he worked in London and was given maundy Thursday afternoons off .
I would go up to London and we would go for a curry in Brick Lane . We have just carried on and friends have joined us , even if they did not though we would still go on our own .
It makes a good start to Easter .

Happy Easter to all gransnetters .
