Before the rush of next weekend

Father God, we thank you for sending your beloved son to us , he truly is The Light of The World. And in these troubled times where more are turning away from him we pray for fellow Christians who are being persecuted for their faith, who endure torture and death for their love of Your Son..

We pray for those among us who are grieving for the loss of a loved one, for those who are alone, not from choice but from life's wounds.
For the homeless , the sick, the outcasts in our society. For those who have turned away from that love and peace which passes all understanding . For those who are mocked for their belief in you, they do not suffer torture but do suffer hurt.

We give thanks for those who will nurse, feed, give shelter to those in need,

We join with Christians throughout the world and give thanks for the birth of The Christ Child
