Miracle

Been thinking on this. Watching Prof Brian Cox's show on The Planets, it is impossible not to be struck by the fact that the establishment of our planet, and life - and especially humans - on it over the 4.54 billion years that earth was established (I Googled it), is quite simply, a miracle.

So how do we explain the miracle? Because surely it is more than a scientific occurrence ...

It certainly is a miracle - and we do not know how or why.

I accept and embrace the not knowing and do not seek some human-generated explanation to explain the unknown. It is just the human condition.

Brian Cox's programme is very good, but it does tend to gloss over the scientific reasons why we know how the solar system was formed and developed.
There are many other solar systems out there in our galaxy, and an unknown number in the whole Universe. There is an infinitesimal chance that ours is the only one, even if the rest are too far away for us to ever have contact with.
There is no miracle. It is a scientific occurrence.
