Manatee Nebula and pals

One wonders what Hamlet would say. The thumbnails are too small to reveal the resemblances, some of which are not very strong, but they can be seen more clearly in the slideshow mode. Some of the earthly doppelganger pictures are a bit misleading – the ant is taken from the wrong angle for comparison. I thought the one with the dinosaur skull looked more like the face of a pouting child or one of those wretched Rubenesque cherubs. Most intriguing and very like a whale.smile

I could only see a resemblance with the Manatee, the others were a bit of a stretch. All really interesting.

Beautiful nebulas, but I didn't get the comparisons. A case of the eye seeing what it wants to see.

All beautiful and interesting, but didn't quite 'see' the doppelgangers; except the manatee, that was recognisable.
