Elder grandson demonstrating with the rest of them in Parliament Square today, against climate change. I'm proud of him. Hope the politicians listen.

Anyone else's?

Disgusted that Downing Street has come out and criticised these young people. They should be glad that they care enough about the planet to want to save it.

Stupid narrow minded politicians.

So pleased that the kids were last seen marching back chanting "fuck Theresa May".

I’m watching interviews with demonstrators on channel 4 news. Remarkable young people. Committed to the cause, acknowledging differences in the various groups. Articulate, well informed and all round good folks. Give them the vote at 16 (

Yes my granddaughter and grandson in Norwich took part in the protest. But being rather cynical I wonder if many of the pupils just wanted a few hours off school. I
would have preferred it to have happened during half term next week.

I don't think it would have got the media attention if it had happened on a non-school day. The walking out from school thing is at the heart of it. They are saying what's the point of learning if the politicians won't listen to the scientists.

Congratulations to all these young people who are concerned about the future of the planet!
