Very early this a.m, -3° ,very frosty, lots of stars, I was looking up at the sky...saw what I thought was a shooting star, without a trail...but it was then followed by about 6 or 7 others in a line...but I thought they weren't quite as fast as shooting stars...googled and apparently could have been satellites...anyone else seen similar?...whatever they were..it was a beautiful sight..✨✨

We went on a stargazing evening - an "experience" we received as a gift. Unfortunately the sky wasn't very clear that night and we couldn't see all the stars we'd hoped to - but we did see the international space station go over!

On a clear night we are often out in the garden with the binoculars. I love anything to do with space. Shooting stars are very fast, satellites aren’t.
You can see the space station from earth.

Yes have seen space station before..but this a.m was amazing..at one point..for a nano second about 6 were in view at the same time like a moving string of pearls...

Aliens??😁. Seriously I would have loved to see that, farview. I was out in the garden earlier in the week, spotting constellations. The stars were so bright I felt as if I could have reached up and touched them. Even the Orion Nebula was vaguely visible with binoculars. DH and I often used to stand in the garden waiting for the space station to go over. Never failed to amaze.

That was amazing. Just how many satellites is Musk putting up there? Must be hundreds already.
