How was it "against talk guidelines"?

j07 Fri 18-Jan-13 17:17:18

Wouldn't an explanation be polite?

jeni Fri 18-Jan-13 17:42:48

I agree. We were sorting it ourselves.

merlotgran Fri 18-Jan-13 17:45:47

What has been deleted?

j07 Fri 18-Jan-13 17:46:37

Oh gawd! hmm grin

merlotgran Fri 18-Jan-13 17:56:11

Only asking. I've found out now.

absent Fri 18-Jan-13 18:00:22

How very odd. Hadn't one of those threads meandered off into something completely different as so many do? Why is Mumsnet censoring us?

j07 Fri 18-Jan-13 18:00:27

wink

j07 Fri 18-Jan-13 18:01:25

The wink was to merlotgran.

Search me absent. confused

artygran Fri 18-Jan-13 18:03:54

If this is the thread I am thinking of, I came to it very late last night and was too tired to follow it through, so thought I would follow it this morning. Gone. Disappointing.

jeni Fri 18-Jan-13 18:07:42

GIVE US BACK OUR THREADS

jeni Fri 18-Jan-13 18:08:47

Honestly some posters accuse US of being "Thought police" but HQ?

j07 Fri 18-Jan-13 18:10:31

If we all decided to walk, taking our typing fingers with us, you would be left with an online version of Good Housekeeping magazine. A very slimmed down one. #pipeandsmokeit

Ana Fri 18-Jan-13 18:16:18

It would be like Gransnet for Lurkers...

annodomini Fri 18-Jan-13 18:17:46

Has someone been complaining reporting us for something or other?

j07 Fri 18-Jan-13 18:19:42

Dunno. Perhaps they've just been snooping. Keeping an eye on us. hmm

gracesmum Fri 18-Jan-13 18:20:21

I go out for the day and somehow I now have to find which thread has been deleted! It's like one of those drinking games where you each have a bottle of whatever and one person goes out of the room and the rest of you try to remember who it was grin
Please put me out of my misery!hmm

merlotgran Fri 18-Jan-13 18:21:39

Sorry, mishap I can't tell you because if I did I'd have to kill you mention another thread and then this one would be deleted as well hmm

Mishap Fri 18-Jan-13 18:38:18

!!!!!!!!!

Lilygran Fri 18-Jan-13 18:54:57

Oh, gracesmum I like the sound of that game!

gracesmum Fri 18-Jan-13 18:58:06

Oh I think I've spotted it - colour is an emnotive issue these days isn't it?

merlotgran Fri 18-Jan-13 19:01:05

Shhhhhhhhh!

Sel Fri 18-Jan-13 19:29:58

Crikey Moses, I feel about 16. I was writing an, actually, quite long reply to, I think, Elegran on the subject 'what the actress said to the Bishop',it was, hopefully, humourous, hit send and the thread had disappeared. Whilst I understand the good ladies who set up Gransnet have to adhere to legal guidelines as regards libel laws, what is the point of posting - and therein is the lifeblood of a commercial site, the people who join and post, if, at least sign of a childish disagreement, they delete the thread?

Is it legal or what?

Do we really need, at our age to be reported to teacher?
