Yesterday when I wanted to check something on a different page of a thread that had run to over two hundred posts, I discovered (rediscovered) that the "previous" and "next" buttons don't work. Neither does the box where you put in the page number. I could only access the first page of the thread or the last, nothing in the middle.
It eventually occurred to me that this might be because I usually have threads organised to have the newest posts at the top straight after the OP. Changing the order that the posts appeared on the page did seem to make a difference to accessibility of the middle pages.
Is there a reason why this is so and can it be corrected so that the page-finding buttons work?
The other thing that has never worked for me on the customising screen is choosing to have 500 or 1000 posts on one page. When I choose and save one of those options, the number of posts per page always returns to 100, which is what I've usually had my preferences set at (mainly because 500 and 1000 weren't available for quite a while).
It would be nice if this were sorted too. In fact, if this were sorted the page chooser thingy not working wouldn't matter.
Have any of you got all electric cars? Pros and cons please.
