Can’t switch site

I prefer the mobile site for reading threads, but the desktop site for writing posts. Today I just can’t switch to the desktop. I’ve tried with my old iPad as well, and that’s the same. Anyone else having problems?

I have found that the words 'desktop site' often take a long time to load at the bottom of the page so have learnt to be patient and I can eventually scroll down far enough. Hope this helps.

I’ve only just found that I also can’t switch sites, and only discovered it when I wanted to ‘Hide’ a Games thread. To do this I have to switch from desktop site to mobile site, but I seem to be permanently stuck on the Mobile Site.
What’s going on?

Fed up (on Mobile site) everyday there seems to be Bad Gateway messages.

This is my third attempt to post on this thread!

What is going on? I have no problem accessing MN.

I would be very grateful if HQ would take the time to explain.
Please do not ask me to take a screen shot for you to show your techies

I got a message from HQ, saying There is a bit of tech fixing going on which may have resulted in a few seconds drop out here and there .

Apologies - we have had a couple of tech fixes this evening which have meant occasional blips.

To switch between sites the easiest way is, as others have said, to scroll to the bottom of the page and click mobile site or desktop site respectively. If this isn't working just drop us a line and we can look at it for you - but any difficulties this evening might have just caught tech while they were doing their stuff

Yesterday, Mon 18th, I couldn't switch sites on my IPad. Today, Tues 19th, I am on my ASUS tablet, and still can't switch sites.

I posted a message about ten minutes ago, but it's not been posted.

The PM, I eventually manged to send last night, has has been delivered fifteen times ! I was going to apologise to the recipient, but I don't think I will risk it. grin

Your poor techies will have their work cut out today!

Cari, they may be interested to know that I can switch sites with no problem on my PC, but the mobile site seems to be more problematic.

I also can't switch sites, it is very. frusrating.
