Deleting forums?

A very good question POGS , I hope you get an answer from GNHQ. I now know about ‘hiding’ ( thanks to asking on GN) but would like to be able to delete completely.

I d like to delete the games forum from my opening page they come in thick and fast and to delete you have to do each one individually and on a mobile or iPad you can only do it by going into the desktop each time and is very time consuming and seems totally antiquated
Like Pogs I ve nothing against the games and I know a lot of posters love them but it’s just a personal not for me thing !

Can we not have a second grouping to run alongside Forums just for Games? Sometimes there are so many games the other stuff drops off the end.

BlueBelle I can and do hide threads on the mobile site.
If you need to ask you can pm me. I'm not trying to "teach grandma to suck eggs"

Id like to be able to do this also.

nina I was told the only way to do it was change to the desktop set up and then back again if you have a quicker way go for it I m happy to learn

How do you do it on the desktop? I can't find anything on that.

I don’t know how to hide the games posts but I agree, there are far too many of them on the Active list. It drives me mad, why oh why can’t they just be on a separate Games section?

On the desktop you have to go to the little v at the top right click that and it takes you to a load of queries third one down left hand side is Hide this discussion Click that and you don’t see that one but you have to do it individually for each thread
And if you’re on an iPad you have to change from mobile to desktop each time

Marydoll try going right down to the bottom of your screen, as far as you can go. In the middle, below all the purple patch, it will say “mobile site”. Click on that and you’ll then be able to open each thread you don’t want, use the down arrow and click on Hide. When you’ve finished, go down to the bottom again and click on Desktop site.

Bluebelle many thanks for that! The Games threads are of no interest to me either, I have just 'hidden' them all, now my Active page is looking much better.

Bluebell I eventually followed Jessity's advice and went onto the mobile site. Success!

But there are people using the mobile site who have had to go onto the desktop site to do it - how weird. Desktop users have to go to the mobile site and back, mobile users have to go the the desktop site and back, and neither of them has been told what to do. Not very user friendly.

Ah good elegan yes I m on an iPad (mobile) and have to go into desktop mode to remove every game one by one then when I m done go back into mobile it’s a real real pain but the games just swamp your title page if you don’t

Games should definitely be separate from the forums.

I agree it would be better if Games were on a separate forum. There are always so many of them.
