I didn’t know what it is either.
I found an invitation for a free subscription above the red forums bar at the top of the page.

What is Gransnet daily?

It is a daily newsletter sent out by email from GNHQ.

Typically they list a top thread, which appears in the title of the email, together with approximately two to four other threads, it varies from day to day, ith links to each of thosethreads.

Typically posts to the listed threads leap upwards in number.

Also it often contains other items and sometimes a link to a thread on Mumsnet.

I always like to have a look to see if a thread that I have started gets a mention, or even gets top billing.

You may find that if you request Gransnet Daily that in order for the request to become activated you need to log out and log back in again.

Ah, there was that server outage yesterday, maybe people need to log out and log back in again.

I'll report this thread to GNHQ.

I received mine. Never read it, just bin it, so no idea what gets ‘top billing’. I hadn’t thought of it as a competition.

And does anyone wait until 11.38 to read 6 selected posts, when I can look at the Last Day posts and read (at this count) 84, thereby giving me a huge range of topics to potentially explore?

Yes, I am hoping to add another picture this evening.

What I don't know is how many people, if any, view the thread.

Also, I don't know if the content of the thread has inspired anyone to generate some art themself. I know that nobody has posted anything yet, and maybe nobody ever will, but I am always hopeful.
