Has Mumsnet been hacked?

After Gransnet I go over to Mumsnet to see what opinions are being offered. There is nothing that appears to be relevant to up to date news. There is no news relevant to Johnson, by elections etc. I couldn’t find a way of reporting it there so hoping Gransnet can throw a light on the problem.

Does it usually have that sort of content? I can’t say I’ve noticed but I don’t really follow political stuff on social media.

It’s not just that but things seem odd and out of date. Mumsnet has changed its site set up which hasn’t been helpful but this morning things are very odd.

First thread I looked at had a post from 11.18 this morning.

Once one can get through all the advert flak popping up!

Definitely posts from 8am today, the abortion thread is pretty lively, as you’d expect.

Did your Wifi go down briefly, LovetoPaint
It has happened to me with GN occasionally and that is why.

Seems fine. I posted this morning, it was there.

Never imagined you on Mumsnet, * SD* !

I am not on Mumsnet.

I looked this morning as a result of this thread.

I hope Gransnet does not go like that.

I remember Gransnet had a phase where video adverts with sound kept popping up, sometimes obscuring content.

Something about cleaning drains if I remember correctly. smile

That seems to have gone now.

Thank you all for answering. Must be something happening my end! I did see some posts written today but the majority were well out of date. The thing that struck me was the absence of political input about recent happenings. Whereas Gransnet is totally different and Mumsnet is also usually discussing the latest happenings. This morning I could only see old posts.

Do you log off then log in each time?

If not, perhaps try doing that.

You haven't accidentally flipped the threads, have you, to show posts in reverse order? I think Flip and Customise are at the top of the thread.
