I'm getting a little weary of seeing this window pop up. It happens when searching for a thread, or when reporting a post - try clicking on 'return to the thread' and you get a picture of a cow and 'Hmm This page seems to have moo-ved.'

This is nothing new, it's been going on for some weeks now. Any sign of this glitch being sorted?

I thought it was just that hq didn't like my posts.

I am also losing posts an awful lot more than usual. Do we have gremlins or something?

Callistemon Tue 06-Oct-20 23:07:41

I've noticed it when searching for something I've forgotten as threads drop off the active list.

Having just watched All Creatures Great and Small, the word moo-ved conjures up quite a picture, not a welcome one though.

Callistemon at least poor Strawberry survived though unlike some of the threads!!

This moo-ved picture pops up every time when I have logged in......why?

I find this super annoying too! Are Gransnet unable to keep older threads now? And the stupid cow is also very irritating. Please explain Gransnet HQ

HQ don't do explanations apparently Notspaghetti

So glad I'm not the only one to have noticed and been irritated by this! I wouldn't mind if, in fact, the page I was looking for had moved, but in every single case (in my experience) the page is still there, not 'moo-ved' at all.

Hello, thanks for making us aware of this. Is there any more info you can give us on which pages this happens on? If you could let us know the browser you're using and device that's usually helpful too in pinpointing the issue.

I've been getting it when I log in too - although not today, strangely enough hmm

Safari and laptop.

That one’s moo-ved on my iPhone as well (Safari).

Callistemon Wed 07-Oct-20 20:31:58

I get the moo-ved message every time I try to use the search facility, Lara.

Just to give you an update, our tech team are looking into this now so we should hopefully get this fixed soon! smile

?

Bathsheba Thu 08-Oct-20 22:51:45

Thanks Natasha, and sorry I didn't see your responses until this evening! Been a bit of a scatterbrain lately blush

Wheniwasyourage Tue 20-Oct-20 15:43:47

I'm getting this again today - I don't sign in every day so don't know when it started again. It's annoying because if you sign in specifically to post on a particular thread you have to look for it again as you are put back to the main Forums page.

Wheniwasyourage Fri 20-Nov-20 17:20:24

Getting this again over the past few days. Is anyone else getting it? It's a bit annoying when you decide to sign in to contribute to a thread and then have to find the thread again once you have signed in. There is often a selection of threads about similar subjects and I forget to take a note of which one I was on. hmm

Wheniwasyourage Fri 20-Nov-20 17:21:16

Oops, I said much the same in October. A good illustration of how poor my concentration is!

BlueBelle Fri 20-Nov-20 18:00:21

I never sign out
But I have seen it when I ve searched for a thread

NatashaGransnet (GNHQ) Mon 23-Nov-20 18:20:09

Hi Wheniwasyourage - when you're signed in, if you go to this page: www.gransnet.com/forums/threads-im-on, you should be able to see a list of the recent threads you have posted on. smile

Beechnut Mon 23-Nov-20 18:28:34

A

Bathsheba Mon 23-Nov-20 18:30:32

I never sign out either BlueBelle, and I'm still seeing the "This page seems to have moo-ved" when I use the search tool - it happened again today. It is very frustrating.

Wheniwasyourage Tue 24-Nov-20 17:49:33

Yes, Natasha, thank you, but that's not what I was trying to say. If I am reading a thread which I haven't previously been on, and want to comment, if I signed in in the past I was automatically on that thread and able to comment straight away. With the annoying Moo-ved thing, I have to find it again. First World problem, I know, but there you are. I do know about the I'm on feature!

Please can you save the links when this happens, and either post them here, or email them to us at [email protected], so we can take a look at why this is happening? smile
