Has anyone heard of this? I hope so as it sounds right up my street...

I have mollie but wasn't successful in finding a group local to me. I'm sure it was discussed on GN before.

I don't know where you're based, but if you Google Walking Netball Gransnet (rather than do a search on this site) loads comes up under Gransnet Local, I hope this link works:

I play twice a week and really enjoy it. There are lots of sessions in Essex. It's suitable for anyone who can walk and throw a ball and is great fun.

I'm in Norfolk Grannyknot. I'd not heard of it until today and now I want to play! Pittcity: where are your sessions run? Are they organised by sports centres or a particular group? Hope I can find a group near me...

Our session was started through England Netball. Have a look here bit.ly/2qLFMjh. We play at the University of Essex but others are in schools and sports centres. Our local U3A have joined us too.

There are teams in Norfolk as we've played and lost against several.

Thank you for this pittcity My sister lives in Colchester and has been looking for a walking netball club for some time. I've copied your link to her.

Walking Netball provides a fun, safe environment and encourages adults to have a more gradual introduction to physical activity by regaining necessary motor skills, helping balance, coordination, and better footwork.

Walking Netball has evolved from a growing demand for walking sports. Often, one of netball’s strengths is that people never forget playing the sport and the memories as well as the love for the game never leave.

Started this in January, love it! I hadn't played since school days. The netball England site doesn't show our group (in Sussex), I found it on the website of the local council run sports centre. Might be worth contacting the local sports centre. Even if there isn't a group now, they may well start one if there is enough demand. We are a very mixed group, quite a range of ages but very mixed in terms of ability, but it doesn't matter how good you are. It's great exercise and really good fun. Well worth giving it a go if you can find a group.
