The choice between having the newest, as opposed to the oldest, posts first is not working this morning.

You're right, when you change your preferences in 'Customise', it doesn't seem to be working. I'll get Tech onto it asap.
In the meantime, you can click 'Flip' at the top of every thread, to get the newest posts first.
Thanks, josie (my daughter hates being called Josie; it has to be Jo or Josephine), but I hate having to flip the flipping threads, especially the long ones — and ones with several pages do a funny glitch after you post so you have to re-flip to get the newest post at the top. Get Tech onto that, too, please.

Oh I didn't know you could do that - I always go to 'last'. Suppose that takes a bit longer. As if I've got all day to sit on here .......! 
Ooh, great choice of name for your daughter, Baggy! I used to hate being called Jose (one syllable) when I was younger, and also attempted to make myself a Josephine (much more sophisticated, I thought). Alas, I'm a Josie through and through!
Could you explain the funny glitch? I'll make sure all requests are passed on to Tech and he'll fix it when he's finished making the tea scrobulating the F drives <not a real thing>.
