Spell checker

If you make a spell-checker available, please, please, please make it optional! I hate the things!

Would a spellcheck pick up all those superfluous apostrophes? Do they count as spelling mistakes or are they grammatical? Agree that it should be an optional extra - I've got rid of the dreaded red lines and, like Baggy, rely (perhaps arrogantly!) on my own spelling ability!

I now have a spell check on my message box is this new or is it what I have installed over the last few days?

Its great Josie I did upgrade to Chrome last night so its probably that, but I can rattle off a post now and not worry about the spelling, used to be a good speller but brain seems to have given up

I use Chrome and the spell checker is nice - not too intrusive for those who don't like spell checkers but it does pick up on mis-typed words which is lovely as I often get my fingers in a mix. AND it uses British spelling!

Eye strike a key and type a word and weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write, it shows me strait a weigh

That explains why I have a spell checker - have been using Chrome since before I joined GN.
