Which computer technology do you use?

I have a 5 year old 17" laptop which replaced my desk top computer and works well for me with it's large screen for home use.

For traveling my son and daughter bought me a netbook because I do Internet banking, research, e-mailing and storage of my photographs plus I also use spreadsheets and word, I have my music collection, some films and my Kindle collection of books which I use, and husband uses the Kindle.
I couldn't manage without a keyboard. The netbook is very light I carry it in a backpack. It works well for me.

I use Android tablets and smartphone all the time (plus other computers).

The tablets are great and more than enough for most people, especially for consuming music, reading and streaming video such as Youtube.

With the right apps it is possible to create documents and print them out as well although google, ofcourse, would prefer you to use Google Docs which is also adequate for general letter writing, budget spread sheets etc.

Frankly, unless you have a specific requirement that needs the processing power of a laptop/desktop, most people's computing requirements can be satisfied by a tablet.
