usually the same here, but I was all of a panicky doo-dah so seemed to automatically come here!

Strange indeed! Google is always my first point of call for most computer/email problems these days.

I think so, went the short route and removed the photo from facebook.

Odd thing though, someone on here who I exchange emails with quite regularly got in touch to say she has never had photos on the emails I send her, but when I went into my sent items, then sure enough it showed a photo on an email that I had sent to her! Very strange!

Errrrrm blush No, I was in a bit of a rush to get the email sent. I will have another look after the racing later.

Did you scroll down the page I posted to where it says about sharing FB profile photos?

Send an email to yourself then you will know if its worked or not

I've removed it from my Facebook, do you think that might do it?

Anne58 Wed 30-Jul-14 13:30:27

Didn't work, couldn't find the "remove picture" option. When I went in, the picture wasn't showing, just the sort of head and shoulders outline thingy???

Thanks Ana I'll give it a go!

Pleeease someone tell me how to stop it, I have a hotmail account and don't want this to happen with job applications!

That happened to my sister when I sent her a photo of a dolls house I had bought last year. Every time she sent me an email, there was the photo. Don't know what caused it, though hmm

Photos have been on Gmail for a while now. You have a profile which you either upload your photo to, or not, whatever suits.

Afternoon all.

I have noticed that sometimes when sending an email the photo that is on my Facebook doo dah seems to attache itself (I have noticed that this also happens with some emails I receive, you get whatever the senders' photo is).

I have just sent what should be a serious email, and after I sent it, checked my sent items and there it was with the photo attached ! shock

Luckily it's a perfectly respectable photo, but I really didn't want it to go with that email message!

I now understand why when the email recipient phone me in response, he said "Well, that's an unusual email"

I am mortified, how do I stop it? It definitely wasn't showing when I composed the email. blush
