Does anyone have a reliable number that allows me to talk to a HUMAN at Vodafone. I have a contract query and haven't found any way to actually talk to anyone. Help.

I phoned 0870 070 0191 when I had a query and spoke to a very helpful man with a lovely Irish accent. Good luck.

I had a problem and went online and had a virtual chat with 2 people who were very helpful and sorted my problem. It was the first time I have done that, but it wasn't nearly as difficult as I had expected.

I have Tweeted, I have phoned, I have live chatted for one hour to get the answer that although my plan shows 500mg data I have in fact got 1gb data. Unfortunately used 1563mg last month. Getting anyone to admit that was very hard and I have printed out the live chat.
Thanks for your comments. Not sure I will go with Vodafone again, I have been with them many years but very frustrating if a problem.

I've just been on there for half an hour with the query

"How do I sort out our Vodaphone Family when the person who was doing it has died?"

I HATE voice menus at the best of times but this actually reduced me to screaming as I went round and round, to the chat, to the menus as i was told if I didn't do anything it would give me a person - it didn't.

I shall try the number above. On my landline!

That number on this thread has changed and when you ring the new one you find yourself on the same old MENUS......!

AlieOxon Fri 08-May-15 19:38:33

I give up. Emailing some one I know who WORKS for vodaphone....

Ana Fri 08-May-15 19:48:06

I've had no problem, and I had to phone them twice in a week about my contract with them. I know that's not helpful if others are getting no joy, though!

Has anyone tried reporting their provider to Ofcom?

AlieOxon Sat 09-May-15 16:00:34

I think I might do that - about their online service.
I was on there for an hour this morning and finally drove in desperation to Abingdon which is the nearest shop.
THEY were very helpful!

rosesarered Sat 09-May-15 16:08:26

Sometimes it's good to speak to a real person in the shop Alie not to a phone menu. there are so many things to sort out of a practical nature when a family member dies, and just when you are at your most vulnerable and least able to think clearly.flowers

AlieOxon Sat 09-May-15 16:59:33

Yes the woman there was particularly helpful and brought me a cup of tea when I got upset - and talked me through while she did it for me!
So our family thing is continuing.

I hate voice menus even more than I did before.

Update.....Yeah, that was May, and I had forgotten about it!
Now I am stuck again, having gone for a contract and now today received a text that my payments aren't going through.

Went to the Carphone Warehouse here who arranged it, and they can't (?) do anything and I will have to go to Abingdon again unless I can get some help with the voice menus, as I am rapidly getting a complete phobia about them - I nearly cried in the shop! Meanwhile my phone is restricted....

We have just had quite a saga with vodafone and the "advisors" in the store could not have been LESS helpful if they had tried really hard. The overseas call centre were uselesss and it took a very forceful and angry call to get a resolution by a lovely english speaking girl who helped us and sorted it out.We will not be going with them again when this cotract runs it's course.

Alie wondering if we've had similar experiences. Had text telling me my account was overdue - its paid via direct debit. Spoke to my bank to be told Vodafone had cancelled my dd and set up a new one (without my knowledge) but had not requested the payment from the new dd. It took me no less than 4 hours to get through on Friday. The person I spoke with was very honest explaining it was Vodafone's error, apologised, said there were 2,000 people in the queue. I now have my PAC code - I'm off to another provider and a better deal with fingers crossed for their customer service.

Vodafone are pants angry

mollie Thu 22-Oct-15 17:01:11

GOOD LUCK. 191 is the number but it's a nightmare. Their customer services staff, when you ever get to speak to one in real time, are polite and appear to be helpful but rarely do what is necessary. I changed contracts and upgraded (that demonic) mobile in July and it has taken until last Friday and conversations with 16 different customer services people (and a letter of complaint sent in August but totally ignored) to get it a contract/payment problem sorted out. Then the phone broke on Saturday and I'm waiting to see if it has been repaired...I hope you have better luck!!!

AlieOxon Thu 22-Oct-15 17:06:38

I can NOT cope with trying to phone. I just panic when I can't get anywhere.
I will go to Abingdon tomorrow.................!!

annsixty Thu 22-Oct-15 17:56:50

We must have been in that queue, it took 45 mins to get through but the problem was such that we needed to speak to them.

AlieOxon Fri 23-Oct-15 13:35:46

I went to Vodafone.
Turns out that the carphone warehouse never set up my direct debit at all.
Even though I have a letter confirming this.
...............!!!

Hopefully (not very) it should be ok within 24 hours. confused ?

AlieOxon Sat 24-Oct-15 09:47:56

No, because I didn't have my bank account number.....
So I'm left trying to make one of those XXX calls again, with instructions as to which options to take, but no help with the little things like 'how do I enter my phone number when I have got to the third option and no idea how to put the number in' .... ?
I did get it somehow by wildly pressing buttons - and then they are all busy.

AlieOxon Sat 24-Oct-15 09:48:46

angry

mollie Sat 24-Oct-15 13:49:17

I've had 'conversations' with Vodafone via their online chat and that works quite well if you can cope with the delay between threads. They will also phone you back once you get hold of someone...

I also had problems with a direct debit not being set up properly and it took three phone calls. I gather there was a major computer problem at the end of August and they are still sorting out the fall out... good luck AlieOxon

AlieOxon Sat 24-Oct-15 15:11:14

I will try again when I can psych myself up for it....so far i have been sitting here losing solitaire games....this morning I went out to avoid it!
