I was wondering how many of you have a YouTube channel? And what you watch on them? My friend's daughter was showing me a video of Kinder egg 'unboxing' (a new trend apparently) which she found riveting and I found quite odd!

I often watch You Tube. Anything from how to do stuff, maybe fix a tap, old music videos, interviews with favourite people like Jimmy Stewart and Kenneth More etc. I was looking at old photos and newsreel of London the other day. Haven't watched the trending stuff really, mainly because I do not know what is! I think it is an amazing thing.

I don't understand the phase "have a Youtube.. channel" confused
I do look at Youtube very often these are links posted on FB.

Save a lot of money by listening to albums that I intended to buy only to find that I don't like them. If anything in the house needs repairing I'm straight onto utube for a tutorial. Listened to a few of Bowies albums last night, realising that I knew the more popular songs but had never listened to the whole album. As a racing fan I watch a lot of old races. Trouble is, time can just disappear when I'm on utube.

I follow Gransnet on YouTube and am in the lipstick video.
Otherwise I dip in and out whenever a link or search takes me there. It is very useful when you need to find out how to do something.

I watch 'how to' videos on utube and can also watch it on the tv.. I do follow utube links from Gransnet now and then.

Unwrapping Kinder eggs is a.very odd pastime, especially silly as a spectator sport.

I put a video of a birthday party on You Tube years ago but they took out the whole soundtrack, saying I was in breach of copyright for the music! I really don't understand, because there are countless videos of music, whether pop hits or relaxing background music. What did I do wrong? I can't get the soundtrack back.

Filming unboxing of products is very strange. Someone did a YouTube of them unboxing one of our products, nice but strange

You put it on a public Channel.

Everyone and everything is on YouTube. Anything you need to repair, make, find out info on any subject.

If you have a Smart tv you will have a YouTube channel.

Do you mean subscribe to YouTube? I do (not a paid for channel).

I used to just dip in and out but this way I can just login and there are loads of videos waiting from all the people I've subscribed to, plus others that are related. I watch makeup/haircare, DIY/decorating, selling houses, cooking, music/films/theatre, travelogues... all sorts really.

Spent a whole evening watching ballroom dancing one evening, without a hint of screaming audience or crying celebrities, just superstar dancers.

I do maths tutorials with my teenage grandchildren and have discovered an enormous number of YouTube videos on solving quadratic equations!

I love watching the various cooking videos people post - makes a refreshing change from the usual suspects we see on TV. I’ve seen everything from a simple how to boil the perfect egg, to making your own corned beef. For anyone into bread making there are some glorious, detailed video tutorials on YouTube. I recently made Greek flatbread for the first time, following step by step instructions - turned out fab.

There are also lots of old TV series posted on YouTube. I’m currently working my way through a whole series of Dharma and Greg posted on a loop. Am I pathetic for admitting that ?!

Has anyone seen the videos of the ladies who tell stories whilst applying make up from scratch to a freshly scrubbed and moisturised face ? Weirdly addictive.

What is a public channel? The millions of music videos are surely on a public channel? I can see them, I'm not logged in. I don't understand. Why was my birthday video any different?

I have two videos on Youtube, introducing myself and my teaching. They're mortifying and I hate them! But I need them for some of the work sites I'm on.

I’m into Crime and investigation and I love to watch the clever detectives interrogating the killer, right now it’s a Police. Niece I terrogTed for murder. This is why I have such little sleep

I follow quite a few craft and music YouTubers. I also use it when I want to look up how to do stuff. Very useful.

I watch youtube on a daily basis,i think it`s more entertaining than tv,at least i can decide what/who i want to watch/listen to.
I especialy enjoy watching the late Sean Lock,i miss his down to earth humour.

My son has his own Youtube channel. But I can't give his details without asking him first so I won't. It's mainly to do with cycling and photography. He also learned to play the guiltar from Youtube videos.
Youtube is wonderful. I was recently thinking about a lot of old films and music hall stars and so used the search box and found loads of them. Anyone remember Hilda Baker, Old Mother Riley, Fred Astaire etc. ? They are all on Youtube.
Almost anything you can think of, search Youtube and you will most likely find it.

I watch YouTube regularly. I search for sewing advice and projects mostly. Lately, I have been watching Gordon Ramsay in the USA sorting out some really 'interesting' restaurants ? There is also a couple of young guys who edit the best parts from the Airline programme.
