Evening all, and sending good wishes.

Mr P bought me a new alarm clock, I think partly to much up for the fact that HIS goes off at 4.30 am shockangry

30 minutes before the set time, it starts to light up, very gradually.

There are a range of options with regard to the sound of the actual alarm. Many of them are "natural" sounds, such as waves sussurating on a beach.

I chose the birdsong option.

Nothing like being gently awoken by a cat leaping into action as they try to locate the avian intruders! smile

MAKE up, not much up!

grin I think I would choose another option!

How lovely of Mr P. Is it one of the Lumie Bodyclocks Phoenix? I may have a touch of alarm clock envy if so.
Think it may be a tad easier if you re-set the clock to waken you with sounds of the waves though. smile

I’ve had one of those which gradually light up and find good, though choose the radio option.

4.30 seems awfully early to be woken up , Phoenix. Does Mr P have to get up then?

Hello grannyactivist ! Not sure of the make (would need to check) but it was much reduced on Amazon, under £30!

Both cats have now got used to the sound, so my waking up is quite peaceful.

Except on my days off, when Oliver Sprout decides that I have had quite enough sleep, and wakes me up with gentle head butts and a cold wet nose on the cheek!

Farmor15 Mr P is a self employed contractor, and can choose the hours he works. His journey time to work is about an hour and a quarter.

However, he doesn't like to "rush" hmm Anyone who knows him would NEVER put Mr P and "rush" in the same sentence!

Apart from liking to have some time to sit and enjoy his coffee, his argument is that he goes in early to miss the traffic, and can do the same on the homeward journey.

I could fall asleep to nature sounds, but I need an alarm loud enough to blast me out of bed.

Have you seen the clock called "Clocky" that jumps off the nightstand and you have to chase it around the room to shut it off? If I still worked I would need to buy that one. smile
