Grey lines and pale script on ipad

Go into settings then display and brightness you can enlarge the text and make it bold.

My iPad often has grey lines with pale washed out print on the screen. I can hardly see what i am writing and its happening now. Squint squint.
Does anyone have any thoughts? Otherwise will have to return to JL and hope they can help.
