Books app on IPad

I have the Books app on my IPad, and have downloaded a couple of crochet patterns and a Victoria Hislop book ( that I had forgotten)
My problem is finding things on it. Or, when it is open, getting back to The Library.
What am I doing wrong.
It is very hit and miss whether I find what I am looking for.
Can anyone help please?

Do you mean iBooks or the Kindle app?

It sounds like you are using iBooks. At the bottom click on library. Then at the top click on collections - you get books, PDF etc.
Hope this helps

SueDonim, and Humbertbear, many thanks.
I have a KOBO, and use that for downloaded books, usually.
I have the app on my IPad, like an open book.
This is the app that I have used for downloaded crochet patterns.
I took a couple of screen shots.
Photo 1, showing the orange icon for the app.
Photo 2 is the book I had forgotten about
I cannot find a bar at the bottom of the screen, except by accident, sometimes.
I have tried pinching the screen, tapping, top, bottom, side !
All sorts.
I expect there is a really simple solution, I'd just like to find it.

I did it, and got the arrow. Oh my, feel so pleased.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Will it work again?

Why do they make these things that are not user friendly?, although I expect they are to techies.

Katyj, you are definitely a star, because, you told me in words that I understood, and didn't blind me with techspeak

I did try to Google the answer, but it wasn't clear. You were.

I also have an apple book app. I read books both artistic and educational. I don't have a problem with opening books. I think Apple developments are as user-friendly as possible

Hey! I do love reading books! Also, I always try to examine the description of an application. A lot of mobile app development companies computools.com/mobile-development/ provide the users with the latest app technologies that tune the apps to your ios or android devices.

I use an app called "Libby" to borrow books from my local library and it's all free.

I like printed books. There's someone mysterious in them.
