Lesvos (Lesbos).
Hello Gransnetters. Here I am in sunny Lesvos enjoying sunshine and breezes. The Wonderful Man is waterskiing, sailing, windsurfing and cycling; whilst I'm getting fat (sorry Glass) from eating too much delicious food. I am doing zumba and aquasports every day, but still the pounds are piling on!! It's lovely to be here in the resort with our son and his girlfriend who have been working here all summer - both brown as berries and super-fit.
Looking forward to our Edinburgh meet up next week. smile
Love, Grannyactivist (and the WM)

Glad you are enjoying your break, Grannyactivist. I had a wonderful holiday on Lesbos - on my own, as usual, but I did have one Shirley Valentine moment. No man involved, but I asked the owner of a tiny restaurant on the cliff top to move my table and chair near to the edge so I could look out to sea. A big Greek salad, a glass of wine, sunshine.....and not another soul in sight - it was October. Bliss.
The island is big enough to make it worth while renting a car - I drove right round and across the middle! I would love to go back - but there are just so many lovely islands to visit.

And you are doing your bit for the battered Greek economy as well! Great.

blush Oh dear........the food was so plentiful.........and so tempting......blush Now I need to lose a stone in the next six weeks. I've already bought two entire outfits for my son's wedding, so buying another is not an option. I guess I'll just have to diet and exercise very, very hard!

GA - welcome home; sorry, but you will just have to start the diet after wednesday!! grin

We're in wet and windy Cornwall, at Coverack. There is very limited internet and it's lovely seeing our children shedding their iPads/phones etc. without a second's thought. Jigsaws and various board games are plentiful, as are jenga and kite flying - and include all age groups. My favourite moment so far was watching great-grandfather playing with his own father's four month old namesake. Priceless! smile
No-one seems to be at all bothered by the lack of decent weather, but we do have panoramic sea views from almost every window in the house, so watching the sea is a delight in all its guises.
