Can anyone please tell me if there is a thread on here where people can meet and discuss holidays with companions who like myself have lost their partners and have always liked holidays abroad (but not long distance, over 4 hours flying I mean) but have no one to travel with. I do not mean looking for a partner but just someone to travel with. sunshine

dottilind There was a topic here some time ago suggesting holidays for people who were now seeking a holiday as a 'single' traveller. I have been a widow for almost two and a half years and, although I go back to visit family in Wales (I live in France) I haven't been on a proper holiday. However, that is to change, as the mother of my DiL, has suggested a holiday together and now we have booked a cruise to see the fjords. I shall send you a PM.

I haven't lost a partner dottilind my OH just can't/won't fly, I have holidayed with other family members but its never quite the same as I feel I have to fit in with whatever they are doing rather than make my own plans..
Good for you flowerfriend finding someone to travel with, cruising isn't my thing though, seeing thr fjords would be amazing I'm sure..

I'd give a 5 star referece to Galen as a cruising companion.I so enjoyed my first cruise round Med with her last Sep on QE.
Sadly due to having new CH boiler and change of car no chance of a cruise this year unless I win the lottery.
happy holidays tanith
