Travel to where and which uncertainties ?

GrannyGravy13 Wed 06-Mar-19 16:30:51

No we have friends who have houses in Spain, Portugal and France they have not cancelled their ferries or flights.

We are going to Cyprus in May, and have several European city breaks planned.

Cannot see any reason to alter anything?

Parsley3 Wed 06-Mar-19 16:31:05

No, I am off to Spain tomorrow.

Telly Wed 06-Mar-19 16:57:47

We dont travel anymore, but know of friends who are staying at home this year. I understand that Easter is slow abroad this year. Can't think why!

One of my sons has booked to go abroad before B Day, just in case. hmm

Jalima1108 Wed 06-Mar-19 17:45:25

We're trying to book something - but we need to find a spare week first grin

M0nica Wed 06-Mar-19 18:14:16

We will be back at our house in France in April.

mcem Wed 06-Mar-19 18:32:26

Changed plans last year.
Wouldn't visit USA with Trump in charge but happy to visit France.
No travel plans so far this year but no problems re visiting Europe.

Chewbacca Wed 06-Mar-19 18:37:53

Nope. Why would I?

janeainsworth Wed 06-Mar-19 18:41:09

Wouldn't visit USA with Trump in charge
It would take more than Trump being in charge to stop me visiting DS and DiL and my DGCs mcem
You’d be surprised at the number of Americans who seem to want to share their dismay and sadness about POTUS and his behaviour.

ginny Wed 06-Mar-19 18:44:14

We are off to Peru and the Galápagos Islands on Sunday.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 06-Mar-19 18:49:31

Jalima1108 Wed 06-Mar-19 19:13:41

Jalima1108 Wed 06-Mar-19 19:21:59

Nope. Why would I?
Indeed Chewbacca

Why does the word "schadenfreude" keep popping into my mind on this and another thread?

The advice we have heard is that if you book a package holiday and there are problems with Brexit, you should be fine and covered. If you book yourself as we do then you MIGHT have a problem. We cannot stay in hotels and have to have two bedroomed apartments due to DH's snoring. These are very few and far between in packages. We were going to go to Rome as I have a big birthday and we will have been married 50 years this year. We are going to leave it until next year to see how things pan out.

SueDonim Wed 06-Mar-19 21:22:50

Nope, no changes here. Like Janeainsworth I'll be travelling to the US to visit my son and his family.

Tangerine Wed 06-Mar-19 21:29:09

I'm not changing any plans I've made.

mcem Wed 06-Mar-19 21:48:01

Visiting family is one thing but I was planning no more than a self-indulgent transatlantic jaunt! Would've been different if it involved an important family commitment.
Must be really difficult to live in USA if you aren't a Trump supporter!

Still working so being careful worried we might go into recession. Still might holiday but it will be in this country due to finances and family demands.

ginny Wed 06-Mar-19 23:27:38

Grannygravy and Jalima, quite excited. I’ll let you know how we get on.
