Hello you lovely folk. We’re travelling to Cornwall from the Midlands end of May for our annual family jolly. We always whizz through Bristol so we’re thinking of going down a day early to arrive in Bristol lunchtime getting back on the M5 after breakfast the next day. Thinking of a Premier Lodge, there seems to be several. Where should we stay that will enable us to see something of the city (a tour bus?) and get back to motorway easily?

There is Premier inn right in the city centre very busy round about.
There is a Travel lodge on Anchor Road that my family has used when coming to my daughters wedding, it is right behind the Cathedral and across the road from the water front, easy to get to from the M5

I stayed here a few years ago. Nice and clean. Bang in the centre. Just go up the M32 from the city centre and you are on the motorway. There is a multi storey nearby. Can't remember if parking was included in the hotel price.

The Ibis is a cross the road from the Travel Lodge.

We love Bristol. So much to see. It's lovely along the waterfront - shops, bars, restaurants. DH loves the SS Great Britain. We hired a little house but were there for a few days both times we've been.
