Anyone see that prog about tea...

with Victoria Wood last night? Really good I thought. Did n' t realise the actual plants that Cphina and Indian tea come from were so different.

Tonight's continuation sounds good.

No, but I remember sitting in primary school listening to a BBC radio programme (Home Service perhaps) called Travel Talks and looking at the accompanying booklet about growing tea in India. I never forgot that it was picked as two leaves and a bud. Perhaps I'll try to catch it tonight.

In India they use elephants to reach the top of the "bushes" as they are so high. In China, it's the traditional looking women with "cooly" type hats. Plants are waist high there.

Was very funny when Victoria fell down an irrigation channel! grin
