Watched it, wonderful. My daughter is crazy about them.

Watched part 1. Found the turtle cam and tuna cam a bit patronising and gimmicky. Aimed at 4 year olds? For me all these twee robots detract from the amazing footage.

Surely some of that amazing footage was recorded by the robo cameras.

but they didn't have to be dressed up!

Just when you think you've seen all possible wild-life programmes, along come the robot cameras and incomparable footage of these wonderful, intelligent, fun-loving creatures. I loved the sequence in which the youngsters got high on puffer fish venom; and their courting customs with 'bouquets' of seaweed.

Agree that the series is enlightening. These are exceptionally intelligent mammals and I have fond memories of one who wanted to play when I was working on sub sea pipelines in the meditteranean. I guess it thought I was there to play rather than work. Navies around the world have trained these intelligent creatures in various tasks including mine clearance and laying and it is alleged also trained to kill humans as in hostile divers. Unfortunately I had a weary creep over me whilst watching tonights episode and woke when the signature tune to Silent Witness started. I shall catch up on the iplayer or the repeat probably on Sunday.

I just wondered who filmed the robot cams ???? we saw a lot of them doing the filming, especially the squid one, if it was doing the filming how did we see it being demolished?????

felice maybe the cams carried on filming extra footage after the divers finished their main filming to give us some fabulous extra footage which may have been missed. This is such a fabulous series enjoying every minute a nice change from blood and guts.

Wasn't there remote control of the robots from boats? Perhaps another robot filmed the destruction of the squid.
