What worth watching on telly at the moment?

There have been a lot of dramas but they are starting to merge in my brain. I am forgetting what's happening from one week to another.

Getting a bit fed up with anglonoire.

I am enjoying the wonderful mum of teenagers on master chef. Nice to see two women competing for a change.

Peaky Blinders is on tonight Not to everyone's taste but I like it.

I so enjoy the Durrells on Sunday, such an eccentric family-always makes me laugh?

Hinterland. Excellent. I need say no more

I have been watching Marcella- there are many holes in it but on the whole I have been enjoying it. I have recorded the 2 episodes of Hinterland but I have not got around to watching it yet. There is also a programme on BBC1 on a Sunday and the title escapes me but I have watched it.

I'm enjoying the Durrells too. I'm looking forward to "The Hollow Crown, Wars of the Roses" starting Saturday as part of the Shakespeare series. The last series was wonderful. It'll make a change to have something decent to watch on Saturday evening.

I think that there has been some brilliant drama on the BBC so far this year, so much so that I am worried they will not be able to carry on filling the schedules. Do not watch commercial TV as the adverts are annoying and the production is generally iffy. I like the sound of the Durrells but have read all the books and saw it years ago on BBC. Also do not watch period dramas, most have been done before. I may try and get into Peaky Blinders, there is the last Undercover to look forward to and another series of Last Tango in Halifax. Really enjoyed Line of Duty, I missed the first two series so am hoping for the boxed set for my birthday.
Looking forward to the Gareth Malone programme tonight and the celebratory programme about Sir David Attenborough on Sunday.

I appreciate the documentaries on BBC4. Last night, for instance, there was a history of Balmoral castle and the royal families who have spent time there. It was being repeated this evening. The castle seemed to embody everything about Victoria and Albert in its austerity. Subsequent royals were not quite so fond of it - Edward VII and, much later, Diana.

The Durrells and also Indian Summers, I have really enjoyed. Unfortunately the former ends this week and the latter the week after. I do enjoy Question Time on a Thursday night, too.

I watched 'In The Club' on Tuesday night but took ages to work out the relationships that followed on from the first series.

I'll stick with it though.

Sadly I think we are going in to TV summertime and not too much will be on few a few months. I subscribe to Netflix (its £6.99 per month) and there is always something to watch on there.

merlotgran, they do a brief "story so far" thingy on iplayer about The Club which helps a little.

If you like the dry humour of Paul Merton he is doing a train trip around the Uk getting off at Halts where you have to stop the train yourself. It is on ch 4. The review was bad of the first episode, but I just loved it.

Can't wait to watch my recording of Peaky Blinders, if you have catch up I believe they have a short review of what has happened so far, so DH and I will watch this first to get up to speed.

don't miss Sir David's 90th BD celebration on Sunday evening- one of my all time heroes.

I enjoy the Sunday night t.v. Durrells and Home Fires, light weight viewing, but we always record them, so that we do not have to watch the adverts. BBC have some really good drama on at the moment, pleased "The Club" is back, and looking forward to the last episode of "Undercover". We like Mary Beard on BBC2.

What I will miss now it's finished is "Boomers". It was very silly, but it had a wonderful cast and I thought it was very funny. I had forgotten about "Indian Summers". We watched all the last series but we have all of this series so far on tape and haven't remembered to watch any of them.

Watching Undercover but deleted last recorded episode after we had watched it then they announced final episode will be shown in 2 weeks!! Will we remember what's happened after 2 weeks! ?

I enjoyed Line of Duty/Happy Valley so much I doubt there'll be anything to match up to them! Finding the Durrells slightly meh, and fell asleep during the Secret. .

I've seen all the Hinterlands on S4C, and didn't really get Last Tango.

Saw Peaky Blinders for the first time last night and have the previous series on DVD, together with Line of Duty, Series 1.

I wish they'd put Wolf Hall on Catchup.

We've been spoiled lately, haven't we?

I don't like things with ads, either. There was a really good prog about Emily Davison on last night, though, presented by Claire Balding. Well worth watching.

Totally agree with u all, sooo many good dramas been on that are coming to an end Line of Duty beyond brilliant, also missed the first two series

Loving The Tunnel.

I'm loving "The Secret" starring James Nesbitt. It's a true story, and we in Northern Ireland got used to seeing the real people on our tv news. I also love "The Durrells, and "Home Fires" on Sunday nights. "The Club" is also a good drama.

My favourite programme at the moment is called "Money for Nothing". It's on BBC 1 in the afternoons. It's about a lady who goes to the tip and finds three items each time, to revamp and sell on. She's a talented upcycler and also has a team of craftspeople to help out. I love this sort of thing, but it's not for everyone.
