I used to enjoy this programme I love a good makeover and it gave me ideas for my own house over the years. Sadly now I think there is something fundamentally wrong with this programme. Time after time I see a property sell at auction and the buyer announce its a 'buy to let'. The after pictures then show shoddy workmanship, bad finishing, cheap kitchens and tiny bedrooms sold as a 'small double'. The estate agents pootle along and value the rental value amazingly high in my view and owners are discouraged from doing any more to the house. I feel extreme sorry for renters- not only are rents far to high but they aren't given the consideration of decent finishing. I saw one house yesterday that was nothing short of appalling.

My DH won't leave the house until he has watched this programme confused

I agree Teetime. I've long since stopped watching that programme and others that deal with the whole house selling/buying scenario.

Nothing at all wrong with the programme, they don't decide how the properties are renovated or whether they are rented.
I am surprised at some of the finishes though but having seen first hand the condition some rentals are left in I understand.
I agree one of yesterday's so called finished properties needed a bit more basic work done to it.
