What a pleasant “warts and all” documentary about a sheep farming family. Unpretentious, honest, hard working, modest people , and their children were a credit to them too. They typified a way of life a million miles away from those modern huge, impersonal agricultural units. (Also a million miles from “snowfla
Hearing the little boy explaining “tupping” was hilarious.
I loved seeing them scoop the board at their local agricultural show too.
Hattie enjoyed watching the sheepdog too but was very confused by the whistling grin

I missed that programme, Maw. Usually we watch anything to do with border collies, because of our little darling.
One of my cousins is a retired sheep farmer in the Borders - we used to spend our summer holidays there in my youth. It was my aunt and uncle in those days - a hard life.
