Hans Rosling, a wonderful medical statistician/ epidemiliologist / demographer, who sadly died last month is celebrated in this week's series of talks on BBC Radio 4.

What a wonderful man he was, and how much better our world would be if we all understood statistics and the value of fact-based evidence.

Thanks for the link varian.
I heard a little of today’s programme & thought I must catch up with the rest.

If you've never heard of Hans Rosling, I recommend this Ted Talk - one of the best.

Hans was not only enlightening, he exuded positivity, something we sorely need in our modern world.

Love the readings. A man who looks at the figures and facts rather than generalising about the world from emotional reactions to specific events.

There is a programme on R4 called More or Less, obviously based on his approach, because they take figures in the news and then check whether they are accurate - they rarely are.
