BBC IPlayer

Cardinal is back for another crime series. Set in Canada I think.

For anyone who has not seen the series before stick with it for the first 10 mins or so as it relates back to the last series where Cardinal, the police officer, his wife has died, then the story begins. 6 episodes which are televised 2 at a time.

Stories a bit grisly so be warned.

I was looking on the iPlayer for something to watch this evening and saw this so I will give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh come on! grin
Isn’t it the Eurovision Song Contest?
Or you could watch reruns of the FA Cup Final gringrin

I loathe the ESC but I know many enjoy it. If and when we leave the EU I wonder if we will be no longer eligible. Here’s hoping. ??

NanKate, we will never leave the ESC, whether we are in or out of the EU - since when has Russia, Australia, Israel etc., been in the EU??? Its all a joke now anyway. The Grandad of the poor boy that sang for the UK said he came last because of Brexit - really?? Whatever happened to Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson (who remembers them ??) they won back in nineteen hundred and frozen to death, We are good at losing anyway.

Pearl and Teddy now that’s a blast from the past Avor

Pearl’s still alive at 96 and Teddy died a year or so back, or so Wiki says.

We've recently started to watch New Amsterdam on Amazon prime ,its an American hospital series but one that has a large feel good factor and a good cast .What my OH calls a Sunday night programme .Worth a watch if you cant find anything decent on TV.

Another earworm for me:
'Lookin' high high high'.
Lookin' low low low.
Wondrin' why why why
Did she go go go!'
Bryan Johnson was it not? I haven't watched Eurovision for years!

Framilode Wed 22-May-19 04:04:18

Grandma 2213 I believe Brian Johnson was Teddy Johnson's brother.

Alima Wed 22-May-19 10:08:31

Oh, I thought Brian Johnson only did cricket commentaries, obs when he was alive.

Avor2 Wed 22-May-19 19:22:51

mcem and Grandma2213 stop with the earworms already, smile why do I remember all these oldies, mum must have sung them to me when I was in her womb (????)
Brian Johnson (Johners) did the cricket commentaries, he was hilarious.

Jane43 Thu 23-May-19 19:44:52

The cricket commentator was Brian Johnston with a t, the singer was Brian Johnson.

I will never forget Jonners’ Famous gaffe - ‘The batsman’s Holding, the Bowler’s Willey.’
