That's all really. I'm so looking forward to this pleasant escapism.

Me too, love it.

Yes, I love it too, the people, the plots, the dear little cottages, hollyhocks by the picket fence, roses by the door, lovely West Country scenery and the sun which seems to shine all the time.

Lovely. We watched them filming in one year when we were staying in Port Isaac. Martin Clunes was lovely, posing for photos and chatting to people.

Anniebach Sat 21-Sep-19 08:39:55

Great, I hope Penhale finds true love

Jane10 Sat 21-Sep-19 08:53:49

He won't though will he? He's a great character. Soooo unlucky and sooooo uncool!

Anniebach Sat 21-Sep-19 09:11:21

No he won’t, ?

Fiachna50 Sat 21-Sep-19 09:13:14

Martin Clunes is an overrated actor. Wont be watching Im afraid, cant stand him.

Luckygirl Sat 21-Sep-19 09:15:53

My OH loves this programme - he is a retired doctor and I thought he would reject it out of hand - but he loves it.

Thanks so much for your riveting insight

Good news, I always enjoy, possibly it’s beautiful Cornwall. We went to port Isaac once and they often use the seat we sat on up the hill. ....happy days.

I'm looking forward to the new series as well. Light entertainment and beautiful scenery what's not to like. ( apart from M.Clunes ) Fiachna50

Port Isaac folk are also glad because everything crossed it will be the last series filmed there.

It was incredibly disruptive.

I do like it though as it’s home to me.

Day6 Sat 21-Sep-19 12:37:45

Oh good. It's lovely, humorous feel-good TV.

MissAdventure Sat 21-Sep-19 12:39:39

I am going to try and make sure I watch it.

I've always enjoyed the bits and bobs I've seen, but never sat down and watched an episode.
Its on my 'to do' list this time.

Gaunt47 Sat 21-Sep-19 13:38:58

WWM2 - across the water here, and yes the filming is disruptive isn't it! But I have been impressed at how cast members have supported local charities over the years haven't you?

Coolgran65 Sat 21-Sep-19 14:10:41

Fiachna50 Sat 21-Sep-19 14:26:02

Ellianne Sat 21-Sep-19 14:45:46

Looking forward to it, one of my favourites for easy watching and pretty location.

Jane10 Thu 26-Sep-19 08:08:12

Anniebach Penhale was his usual self!!

Harris27 Thu 26-Sep-19 08:10:22

Barmeyoldbat Thu 26-Sep-19 08:43:57

Yes I managed to stay awake and watch it last night, what wonderful characters live in the village. Just love it, such a change from the Parliament today channel grin

Gonegirl Thu 26-Sep-19 09:08:47

I enjoyed it. Think the actress from Holby City was a good addition, even if she does play the "baddy".
