This is a film based on events involving the US tv programme 60 Minutes and an episode that was broadcast prior to the 2004 Presidential Election. The Episode looked into claims that GW Bush received preferential treatment when serving in the military. Documents used to support the view that Bush did receive preferential treatment were called into question after the episode was aired and the team involved in putting the episode together were subjected to an internal inquiry. The Producer of the episode is played by Cate Blanchett and the veteran news anchor is played by Robert Redford. Dennis Quaid and Elisabeth Moss also have parts in the film. I found it very thought-provoking and extremely well acted.
