I watched episode 1 and think this has potential.

Ok. I'll give it a spin. Thanks NanKate

Anything Val McDermid (it's from an idea of hers) is well written and worthwhile. The MOOC mentioned was actually available on Futurelearn and was produced by Dundee Uni. If the course is still available, it's interesting if you find forensics fascinating.

I tried watching this before but found it a bit weak. Val McDermid has ups and downs with her writing and characters I find, some much better than others.

I found this promising last night will carry on with it ‘with hope in my heart’ as Gerry would have said (I can’t say those words without singing them now)

Amelia Bulmore is a co writer on this, not sure if that’s from Val McDermid’s original idea, she also wrote Scott and Bailey (Amelia).

This was on last year and I enjoyed it. A bonus is that Martin Compston is in it.

I watched this mainly because I know Dundee very well and I was interested to see how they portrayed it. I thought it was a bit convoluted but I'll persevere tonight. I also got very annoyed by the fact that all of the characters seemed to have Glasgow accents!

If I had to bury a body in Dundee it wouldn't be up the Law grin

We enjoyed the first episode. Looking forward to the second as Martin Compston is in it!!

Oh, I hadn't spotted that, will give it a go as I really like Val McDermid's books.

Oh no! I can't stand that Martin Compston. I was quite enjoying it but when I saw he was in the trailer for the next episode I decided not to bother with watching further.

I’ve seen this before, so it’s not new. I enjoyed it, can’t remember the ending, so will watch again.

Little of it filmed in Dundee sadly you will see Desperate Dan's statue . It was from an idea from Val McDermid .

I spotted City Square and the West End last night Floradora9. It made me laugh that they were meant to have walked all the way from the Perth Road to the top of the Law and they weren't even out of breath grin

Pittcity Wed 06-Jan-21 09:40:00

Yes Poppyred it was on Sky and is out on DVD.
The BBC have to fill their schedules and this is one of the better offerings.

Maatin Compston is good at playing parts where you are never sure if he is a baddy or a goodie!!! Like this!
