Like many I have developed the habit of watching This Morning on ITV to relieve the boredom.
I have to say that personally I'm pleased that Alison & Dermot have replaced Eamon Holmes and his wife as I found their silly bickering annoying, and not sure if poor Eamon has some health problems that are affecting his mind.
Philip Schofield is getting sillier recently too, or perhaps it's just me who is lacking patience atm lol.

Totally agree with you Madwomen11
Regarding Eamon and Ruth bickering and I also think he's not looking to well.
As for Phillip Scoffeld don't get me started on him
New faces are need for that programme sooner the better

lemsip Fri 08-Jan-21 20:25:02

what did you think of the show today then with two new presenters?

Glow Fri 08-Jan-21 20:33:41

Not a fan of Dermot but Alison is ok in small does so once a week is just great
I'm sure we have plenty of up and coming new talent who can replace Philip and Holly because they are on our screens far to much hogging the limelight
With their inflated egos

I can't be doing with any of them. I have BBC1 on in the mornings.

I'm loving the new quiz in the afternoon Lingo its brilliant and fast moving
Anyone else wating it ?

Madwoman11 Fri 08-Jan-21 20:59:18

Glow - yes I agree ?

Madwoman11 Fri 08-Jan-21 21:00:39

lemsip - I enjoyed today's show, and I love Alison's laugh

Madwoman11 Fri 08-Jan-21 21:02:04

Glow - yes I watch and enjoy Lingo too. About time we had something new to keep us entertained

I loved that new pilot programme better - Morning Live. Presented by Kim Marsh & Gethyn somebody? It was so popular in the 10 week lead up to Christmas it’s coming back by popular demand in February.

It was on at 9am till 9:45am I think. There was a regular ‘team’ a really friendly vibe. A doctor, a cook and a vet alongside the 2 presenters.

Look out for it I’d recommend it.

I like Morning Live, too. Nowhere near as hysterical as This morning has become. I'm afraid Philip Schofield is rather too tedious since his public declaration of his sexuality, Holly is rather giddy and Eamon lacks diplomacy in my opinion. Ruth is ok.

Urmstringran - I haven't seen that, but thank you I will look out for that.

Mapleleaf I totally agree with all your comments. I have no issues whatsoever with Philip Schofield's sexuality, however I do agree he is acting like a silly boy.
I'm pleased it isn't just me, and I'm turning into a grumpy old woman lol.

This Morning strikes me as a programme that has descended into a vehicle designed to inflate the egos of some who in the words of Churchill, ‘have a lot to be modest about’.

Grannynannywanny Sat 09-Jan-21 10:12:49

I like the Jeremy Vine show on channel 5 in the mornings. I have my tv box set to record it and start watching a bit later so I can skip the ads and and topics of no interest.

Kate1949 Sat 09-Jan-21 10:22:41

Spot on Lexisgranny. I used to enjoy This Morning but Schofield and Willoughby are unbelievably 'up themselves'. Before Christmas they decided to 'treat us' to a daily Advent calendar which was them showing us a clip of themselves from past shows.

Never been able to start the day with such drivel.

Have you noticed how they all pronounce the letter H as 'Haitch?'

Maybe it's a production rule but if that's the case I'd be a very unruly contestant.

It's 'Aitch' in my book - always was and always will be!

Tend to agree, only time I watch any morning tv is:

a) When on holiday, in bed, before going down to breakfast.

b) If there is some really major news story.

c) General Election time.

Franbern Fri 15-Jan-21 09:24:58

Normally watch Breakfast, whilst eating my own. However, have got rather fed up with so many scenes every day of people suffering in hospital. So have switched to Al jazeera to get some sort of international news covering. Only on now for half an hour and then switch off completely.

Bring back Richard & Judy I say!
