Those of us grumbling about lockdown might do well to watch this programme. It’s on BBC4. So well acted - you can feel the claustrophobia that made their lives so hard. It’s very well acted. I have visited the Anne Frank house and it’s tiny.
Definitely worth watching. It puts our situation into perspective.

Yes I've been there too mrsmopp. It's really haunting, isn't it? To think those poor children and their families lived like that for three years never seeing the light of day, puts our lockdown situation into perspective. Anne Frank's story is so sad. I remember reading the book in school and a few years ago I saw a stage play of it too.

I've been too, and read the book. I thought it was so sad that she looked out at the sky from the attic and could never go out. At least we can go for a walk.

I've seen the film.
Also Schindlers List and The Piano. All these films put our present situation into perspective, which is what I often think about when people are grousing.

It's true EllenVannin most of us are in comfy houses with plenty of food, televisions, warm beds. And we are grateful and realise how fortunate we are.
Just now and again it gets to you.
