In Giles and Mary's book, 'Diary of Two Nobodies', they reveal that the Goggleboxers watch the programmes they comment on one after the other on the day the production team is filming them.
Obviously there was no mention of Prince Philip made by them in the episode shown on the day he died as it would already have been filmed.
They must have had to re-watch the announcement and feign their shock and sadness so that it appeared genuine.
I think they did a good job.
