Making A Murderer is very good but The Staircase was even better for me. A documentary which follows the trial of a man accused of murdering his wife, lots of twists and turns
Who sees Us - a compelling series, a true story about a group of young black men accused of a rape in Central Park, I couldn’t stop watching it
The Irishman - a long film but very watchable, stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and made by Martin Scorsese
Mrs Lowry and Son, a film about the relationship between LS Lowry and his mother, very well done
Mindhunter - there are two series and some of the best I have seen on Netflix, about an FBI initiative in the 1970s to interview serial killers with a view to helping track others down
The Looming Tower, a series based on true events in the FBI and CIA leading up to 9/11
7 Seconds - a series about a hit and run of a young black boy in New Jersey, involves police corruption, racism and drug dealing, a lot of swearing but very good
Green Book, a previous best film at The Oscars, excellent story
Moonlight, another previous best film at The Oscars, very moving
Marriage Story - will probably be nominated for a few Oscars, stars Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver, very intense with excellent performances from Scarlett and Adam
7 Psychopaths, if you like black humour you will like this, stars Colin Farrell
I am currently watching Anne with an E based on Anne Of Green Gables, Very nostalgic
