Weird Things Our Bodies Do

When I used to eat bananas, the little soft spots behind my earlobes would tingle, rather like snap, crackle & pop!
In my mouth, if my tongue presses against certain areas I get headaches, but they stop as soon as I move my tongue!
Anyone else have weird body happenings?

Was this a TV programme which I have missed?
Do you have more information OP?

I used to be asthmatic when young, thankfully seemed to grow out of it, but if ever I get slightly wheezy, I am given warning by an itch in the middle of my back before it comes on.

The roots of my hair tingle when I eat horseradish.

If I stroke my inner elbow, I can feel my temple on the same side being stroked too.

This is a brilliant thread! 🤩
Thanks Ali

If you feel a sneeze coming on, and it won’t come to fruition; look at the sun 🌞

I’ve only just noticed that it’s under the TV heading grin
It does sound typical of Channel 5’s fare

Raw carrots always give me hiccups, however carefully I eat them.

MrsKen33 Mon 20-Mar-23 14:24:14

Certainly not Fanny. I’m used to it now. Funny it is only Sherry though !!

Walnuts (my favourite nut) makes me sneeze 🤧.

If I rub the ' V' of my hairline, it makes me shiver.
It is the nail down the blackboard feeling.😱

Please do not look directly at the sun - it can cause blindness.

I am teetotal these days but when I used to drink, I would get a pain in my shoulder when I'd had enough. If I carried on drinking past that, I would get a stinking hangover, if I stopped, I'd be fine in the morning.

I agree Candelle. UV light is very bad for the eyes.

Suzan05 Wed 22-Mar-23 11:39:07

Bacon cooking has always made me sneeze! 😄

Sorry, I meant look in the direction of the sun, sort of encouragingly point your nose towards it.
Even with your eyes shut, the light will make you sneeze.

Biddysue Wed 22-Mar-23 11:39:41

Cider gives me earache!

Yes, I wasn’t advocating that. Sorry again

And don’t shove them up your hooter!

Honey makes my throat really sore and rough feeling. Apparently it’s a mild allergic reaction, but I always wondered why people eat it as it’s so uncomfortable!

Also, I can’t bear wearing foundation. I can feel it on my face all day, and if it’s anywhere near my mouth I can taste it. If I do wear it I have to wash my face as soon as I get home. Again, I always assumed others felt like that until I talked to friends about how they could bear to wear it. So weird.

This is rather embarrassing but I’m going to mention it in case anybody else has experienced it, or should I speak to GP?
I suffer with IBS, alternating between constipation and needing the loo several times a day. For the last three years, and it only happens occasionally I get the feeling of impending orgasm when I need the loo quickly. It started the first few days of lockdown in 2020 and is most disconcerting! I am celibate and have been for twenty years but remember what an orgasm feels like!
